What should I expect after my first session?
Most people notice a feeling of calm and clarity after just 1 session, and almost everyone begins to encounter additional benefits within 3-5 sessions. If you experience boredom or frustration during a session, know that this is a completely normal reaction. A common misconception is that you must clear your mind of thoughts during a meditation practice. Meditation is not about being totally thought-free, but rather getting to know your mind and learning to accept and be at ease with whatever comes up. Don’t expect to master this ability in the first session and don’t judge yourself. Meditation is a practice that takes practice.
